Key Steps

Step 1: Create a Basic Page

• Navigate to the Shopify admin panel.
• Click on ‘Pages’.
• Select ‘Add Page’.
• Enter a title for your page.
• Add content in the content area.
• Save the page.

Step 2: Preview the Page

• Go to the ‘Pages’ section in the Shopify admin.
• Select the page you just created.
• Click on ‘Preview’ to view the page.

Step 3: Understand Template Settings

• Check the template settings for the page.
• Ensure that the content is being loaded from the page and not the template.

Step 4: Add Sections to Default Page Template

• If you want to add a section that appears on all pages using the default template:
• Go to the template settings.
• Add the desired section below the page content.

Step 5: Create a Custom Template

• Navigate to ‘Pages’ and select ‘Create Template’.
• Assign a name to your template (e.g., ‘About Us New’).
• Choose to clone an existing page or create from scratch.

Step 6: Build the Page with Sections

• Add sections to your new template as needed.
• Hide the default content if you want to use only the template sections.

Step 7: Assign the Custom Template to a Page

• Go back to the ‘Pages’ section.
