How to set up shipping methods in Shopify

1. Access Shipping Settings

• Go to the bottom left of your dashboard.
• Click on Settings.
• Select Shipping and Delivery.

2. Create Markets Before Shipment Methods

• It is recommended to create markets first.
• Navigate to Markets and create a market without shipment settings to see potential errors.

3. Create a Market Example

• For demonstration, create a market named Asia.
• Note that you will receive warnings about missing shipment methods.

4. Open Shipment Settings in Another Tab

• Open the shipment settings in a new tab to monitor missing shipment methods.

5. Create Shipping Zones

• In Settings, go to Shipping.
• Click on General Shipping Rates.
• Scroll down to Shipping Zones and create new zones.

6. Define Shipping Zones

• Name your shipping zone and select the countries to include.
• You can choose to have different shipping rates for different countries.

7. Add Countries to Shipping Zones

• Select countries for your shipping zone.
• If a country is grayed out, it means it is already included in another zone.

8. Set Shipping Rates

• Choose between calculated rates (via apps) or fixed rates.
• For fixed rates, set up standard shipping options.

9. Configure Flat Rate Shipping

• Create a flat rate option (e.g., Standard Shipping).
• Specify delivery time and price.

10. Set Up Free Shipping Option

• Create a free shipping option with conditions based on order price.

11. Add Conditions to Shipping Rates

• Ensure that conditions are set correctly so that users see the appropriate shipping options based on their cart total.

12. Verify Shipping Methods for All Countries

• Return to the market settings to check for any remaining warnings about missing shipment methods.

13. Test Checkout Process

• Preview the store and test the checkout process.
• Change shipping countries and verify that shipping prices update correctly.
