The Scottish start-up, Pure Heavenly, has introduced a delightful vegan chocolate line, boasting the distinction of being the UK’s sole dairy-free milk chocolate bar with under 2% sugar.
Seems unbelievable? Well, it’s genuine!
Instead of milk, Pure Heavenly uses rice cream, ensuring the chocolate retains the luscious feel typical of milk chocolate. Achieving this milk chocolate texture without adding significant sugar is a remarkable feat, proving its innovation (evidenced by over a million bars sold online!).
Stephen Conway, the founder, was inspired to develop the chocolate due to his daughters’ dairy allergies. His innovation even impressed on the famed TV show, Dragons’ Den, securing a £75,000 investment offer from Peter Jones.
