Handmade jewellery, cast the ancient way
Founded in 2017 by fashion designer Leonie Branston, London-based Ferian specialises in exquisite handmade jewellery, made in limited quantities using the ancient, intricate technique of lost wax casting.
The challenge
Outgrowing a clean but limited theme
The team had customised blocks and pages within Ferian's existing theme since 2021. Despite its clean, simple layout, the theme had real limits in functionality and design flexibility — leading to a recommendation to upgrade to Shopify 2.0.
Process

2.0 Theme Upgrade
Configured a new Shopify 2.0 template, aligned with Ferian's existing branding.

App Integrations
Integrated Shopify apps for added functionality, including a filter plugin and an external size chart app.

Custom Font & Metafields
Added a custom font not available in the theme, and set up metafields for product description tabs.
Store screenshots
Thanks to Marco and team I can now easily update my Shopify shop - excellent service, clear instruction and quick response - they set up a brand new store on a template - so efficient and helpful. Would recommend for anything relating to Shopify build and modifications of an existing store. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
