Written by MM Shopy Devs, who are one of the five. We have put ourselves first, which is what you would expect, so the honest part is the rest: what each of these agencies does well, and when to call them instead of us.
Madrid's ecommerce market is the largest in Spain and the most enterprise-weighted. A lot of the serious retail here runs on legacy platforms with real operational systems behind them, which shapes what the agencies in this city are built to do.
1. MM Shopy Devs
We work from Barcelona, not Madrid, and we will say that plainly rather than list a virtual office. We work across Spain in Spanish, English and Italian, with our Spanish work concentrated in fashion, including Nude Project and Caravana.
Where we are strong
- Shopify only, and always have been. This matters more in Spain than most markets. A large share of Spanish agencies came up on PrestaShop or Magento and added Shopify later. We have never worked on anything else, and it shows in how a build starts.
- Fashion and lifestyle brands specifically. Sizing, fit, returns, drops, editorial photography and multi-market selling. That is our category rather than one of several we serve.
- A boutique team. The senior people who scope your project build it. No juniors, no account layer.
- Both markets properly. Most agencies serving UK brands do not work in Spanish, and most Spanish agencies do not know the UK. If your expansion runs in that direction, that combination is rare.
Where we are the wrong choice
- We do not build ERP, PIM, warehouse or accounting integrations. This is the important one for Madrid. A great deal of Spanish retail runs on a local ERP, and if connecting it is central to your project, one of the agencies below is a better call than us.
- We only take the work we can do properly. Few projects at once. If you need to start immediately, we may not be the right timing.
- We are not in Madrid. No office, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
Best for: fashion and lifestyle brands selling from Spain internationally, where the storefront matters more than systems integration.
How we work in Spain: Shopify agency Barcelona.
2. 3DIDS
A Shopify Premier Partner with over 17 years in ecommerce and a large team across several Spanish cities including Madrid. They operate at enterprise scale with a substantial in-house development, UX and project management bench.
Best for: enterprise retail, multi-country rollouts, and any project where team size and formal process matter more than a small senior team.
3. Rocket Digital
A Shopify Plus Premier Partner working with Spanish and international brands, with strength in growth-focused ecommerce and enterprise projects.
Best for: brands wanting a Premier-level partner combining build and growth work.
4. Onestic
A Spanish ecommerce agency operating at Shopify Plus Premier level, with experience across complex retail projects and platform migrations.
Best for: complex migrations and retail operations with real backend requirements.
5. Trilogi
An established Spanish ecommerce agency working across Shopify Plus and other platforms, with long experience in the Spanish and Latin American markets.
Best for: brands wanting a partner comfortable across several platforms, or expanding into Latin America with a team that has done it before.
Choosing in Madrid specifically
Ask what they did before Shopify. More than half the Spanish market arrived from PrestaShop or Magento. Some made the transition properly. It is a fair question and the answer is revealing.
Ask about your ERP on the first call. Madrid retail is more systems-heavy than DTC elsewhere in Europe. Find out who owns that integration before scoping rather than after, because it is the single most common cause of a Spanish ecommerce project going over budget.
Check they can sell into your markets. If you are expanding beyond Spain, ask which markets they have actually launched into, not which they could.
The longer version: how to choose the right Shopify agency.
Let's talk
If you are a fashion or lifestyle brand selling from Spain and systems integration is not the centre of your project, tell us what you are building. If one of the other four fits better, we will tell you which.
