Established in 1853, Private White V.C. proudly resides in Manchester, often referred to as ‘Cottonopolis’ in the 19th century. With a legacy of outfitting royalty, world leaders, rock stars, and heroes, the company’s commitment to quality remains unwavering. From supplying trench coats during World War I to volunteering as a medical-grade garment manufacturer during the COVID-19 pandemic, Private White V.C. embodies resilience and craftsmanship. Housed in the same historic building along the River Irwell for over 150 years, their dedication to handcrafted excellence and locally sourced materials continues, preserving both their founder’s legacy and Manchester’s industrial heritage.

Our Work
We executed a complete platform migration, transitioning from Magento to Shopify, while preserving approximately 90% of the original design. The remaining 10% was enhanced with more user-friendly solutions. Platform migrations, especially from Magento to Shopify, can often be challenging. However, the process went exceptionally smoothly, surprising the client with its ease, thanks in part to their skilled team.
Our journey began with defining the final design for the new Shopify website. We carefully considered where improvements could be made and where adjustments were needed to align with Shopify specifications. The website was built upon the foundation of a free Shopify theme (Debut), which we fully customized from top to bottom. One of our key achievements was the creation of a fully adaptive product page capable of handling regular orders, pre-orders, and sold-out items simultaneously.
As you may know, the most daunting aspect of any platform transition, not limited to the Magento-to-Shopify migration, is the transfer of data. Rivki, now part of our freelance network, excelled in managing this crucial process.
